Does anyone have a description or guide on how to fit all the boards into the plastic insert?

I can get about 2 thirds to fit comfortably but then have a few left over.

Bottom layer: 4*Player Extension Board (unfolded) and 8* Unique Opportunities (in 2 stacks)
Next: Distant lands
Next: 4*Dungeon Boards (folded)
Next: Central Board (folded)

This brings it to the top of the central well. The remaining boards (unified progress board, progress/combat board, progress/combat extension board, scoring reminded board and far distant lands board) I just put on top in the middle to sit between the plastic boxes in the four corners.

My problem is that the box only appears to have space for 6 of the 7 plastic boxes so I'll probably need to repack it to get everything to fit...

that was not too bad.

still feels like it has not been perfectly efficient with the space.

and your right about that 7th plastic box just kindof floats about

cheers though

Czechgames just posted a pictorial breakdown of the layout on the KS site.

the pictures helped a bit.

but there was still some bits left over. i think your supposed to not try to cram everything (ie some boards are alternatives) in the box maybe lol

cheers though

* Player extension board + unique opportunities.

* Progress-board extension and distant lands extension.
(Progress board kinda work but in reality become too thick and then what about these two?)

* Distant lands.

(Progress board + scoring board?)

* Player boards.

* Game board.

Non-KS:
* Manuals
* Progress board

KS??:
* Progress board and score card
* KS-exclusive progress board
* Manuals

... I guess this make sense from what ends up at the bottom at least.

It would had needed to be deeper to hold the progress board say in the same well as the progress board extension and distant lands extension (if that's the one with yellow snow-men. I don't know whatever distant lands are normally used in the game.)

That there's no room for the KS-progress board and scoring card I can understand. Though it would had been nice if they fitted in there if one removed the regular progress board if nothing else, but as it's designed now that would also remove the combat board so ..

Guess it would make sense for the KS-progress board to be far below too from a "what will I need in this scenario?"-perspective. But there's no room for that. Maybe a bottom well for that would had been the thing. With the score board.. Somewhere.

I don't place it as they do in their picture because I don't think it work / keep things in place. Also neither setup fit the KS-boards.

What did you guys put in the plastic boxes? I don't seem to need all of them, here is how I did it:

1) Coins
2) Food
3) Imps
4) Wound markers
5) Lutes
6) Misc small items

Of course there isn't room to easily fit all 7 boxes anyways...

4 boxes for player tokens (and possibly starting pieces depending on how I felt when I last packed it)
1 box Imps/Trolls
1 box Food/Coins
1 box Wounds/Lutes/Misc

That way each player gets their box and board(s) so they can set up their own space, and the remaining boxes form a common supply.

Ahh, that explains it. As you might guess from my avatar I'm partial to a colored bag per player with the tokens and cards in it...

And that explains why I have an extra card slot too It didn't dawn me until now.

I figured most of it out, but sort of ticked off they didn't leave enough room for sleeved cards. Even after I mentioned it in the KS comments.

Word is that it depends on your sleeves - some people have reported sleeving and fitting everything into the box.

As somebody who doesn't sleeve, my perspective is the cards would be pretty loose in there if you sized it to fit premium sleeves.

I use FFG sleeves. Definitely will not fit unless I cut the sleeves shorter. They are the MiniEuro sleeves, which is right size for them.
