Hey, I was wondering if any one on here can answer a question about the army painter zombicide war paints. Are all the paints in the set new colors or do some of them match the standard war paints. If some are duplicates is there a list of the ones that are unique.

Thanks

Even the Zombie Shader is new. The current Quickshade Ink set has two browns (Soft and Strong Tone) and black (Dark Tone), as well as green, red, blue, and purple. The Zombie Shader is a softer grey-brown, which I find useful for MORE than just zombies.

Survivor paint set coming January 15th!

So you can't buy that zombie shader outside that box? I'd like to give it a test but I'm not willing to pay for paints that I probably already have.

I wonder what is special about that survivor shader, as well.

It looks like you can get the paints either as the set or as individual colors.

For those who may find interest in this;

I just shot them an email, and they answered me that the Survivor Shader is exactly the same as the Dark Tone Ink.

Also, unless things have changed, the paints in the Zombicide paint sets are thicker than normal Army Painter paints. This was confirmed a while back by one of the owners of The Army Painter (Jonas Faering). The reason for this is that they intended the sets to be used by novice painters and wanted the paints to provide good coverage in one go.

It's possible that they may have dialed back the thickness of the formula due to community feedback, but it's something to be aware of.
