Subject: I still don't understand how the Woodcutter scores rss

In the example in the manual, I don't understand why the 2 fields are treated as one (like zones) but the 2 towers (also like zones) are not.

Also what happens if the woods aren't a perfect square? Can we get a better example with visuals? Love the game otherwise.

Hi Brian,

on page 2 it says:
"The rock zones with the tower are special: Each of these tower zones is always considered a territory of its
own, independent of whether or not other tower zones are adjacent to it."

This is why the tower score 1 point each in the wood cutter example – they are separate territories.

If the woods are not a perfect square it just works the same way. Each territory adjacent to the woods scores 1 point.

Thanks Matthias for clearing up the tower zones (as always seperate), It would still be helpful to see a visual (non-square) version of a woodcutter scoring example.
