Futurama 2: The variant has landed



This is a rematch of BFG V113: http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1236342/bsg-v113-futurama/pa...
Which will be a 6 player all expansions game to Kobol with a cylon leader or mutineer only using the Futurama characters created by Skribs15 HERE

Due to feedback from the last game Skribs15 is currently modifying some of the characters that require tweaking due to balance issues, so please wait until that is finished before selecting your characters.

- Pegasus IC's will be used that DO NOT reveal destiny

- Revealed cylons immediately pass over spare loyalty cards to 1 player of their choice.

- final fives and personal goals shuffled into the 'not a cylon' loyalty deck

- When a location is damaged by a basestar, a revealed cylon player closest in line to the current player chooses which ship (Galactica or Pegasus) is targetted. If no cylons are revealed, the ship targeted is chosen at random.
(This ruling is to prevent the common cheese-tactic of Pegasus being used as a 'meatshield' to nullify the first 4 instances of damage in the game. It also makes more sense thematically for cylons to choose what the basestars are targetting, rather than the humans)

- Political Prowess can NOT be used to autopass an airlock skillcheck

- cylon fleet board: i've never modded a game with this before, and I think it might be quite interesting to try this with the new characters if you guys are up for it. If players would prefer CACs instead then just mention it in your opening post and we'l go by majority vote.

All 6 players have already joined. D100's will be rolled for each of you, turn order will be diced highest>lowest.
(Highest roll goes first, thensecond highest, and so on.)

Trigiani 1d100 = (9) = 9
Dtasos = 1d100 = (24) = 24

Ooh. nice choice.

I dont think her character has been modded since before - one of my friends used her in a F2F game and she seems quite well balanced already.

I haven't played personal goals in a while. If we are using them then I prefer CFB. Easier to hold 2 titles or damage vipers. I guess I won't be a cylon leader this time. soblue Robot Santa anyone?

Personal goals dont often come up, but I quite like them because cylons can feign having them in order to play inefficiently without being quite as suspicious as they would have appeared if personal goals wern't in.

I like personal goals too. They are not as popular as I would like. I vote yes to them.

The cylons choosing damage makes sense. I never thought about that. Good idea.

Yeah funny thing about turn order seems to be that it's traditional for you to be either first, or dead last - never somewhere in the middle.

And Dtasos is the exact opposite - usually right in the middle of the roll-score (3rd or 4th place)

Does all cylon ships include basestars?

How would it work with CFB?

Raiders might be a better idea.

Finally, will the character card be edited before the game starts?

After the modifications are finished i'll edit the first post of this thread to show all the players new character cards (Same as I did in the first futurama game) So that you can always just check back to that post if you need reminding of anybodys character abilities during the game.

Yeah I was kinda hoping we could wait until the new cards were made to start this.

I have most of the modifications, but I don't have a good negative ability for Lrrr yet. Open to suggestions.
