I feel like modding another game. The first run of this set was pretty cool, and I'm down to try it again.

Good Roles (12)


Alliance Seer - Chooses a player on N0, and is not told any immediate information about that player. Each subsequent night, views another player, and will be told whether or not that player is on the same team as the last person they viewed. Must always choose a living person other than themselves.

Bodyguard - Each night, including N0, must choose one player to protect from being killed. That person will not die in the night unless there are multiple kills assigned to that player. Bodyguard can not target themselves, or the same player two nights in a row. Bodyguard won't be informed of a successful protect.

Vigilante - Once per game, including N0, may target any player to kill during the night. Vigilante is not brutal upon death. This ability will still take effect if the vigilante uses their ability on the same night that they get NKed, but will not take effect if the target is being protected by the bodyguard.

9 Villagers - The most awesome of all.



Not all of these roles will be in play on D1!

Evil Roles (3)


3 Werewolves - The werewolves know each other's identity, and can private message/chat without restriction. Each night, including N0, if there are three wolves alive, the wolves choose two players to kill. The werewolves can use both kills on one target. If there are one or two wolves alive, they only get one NK. If a wolf is shot by the vigilante during the night, and there were originally three wolves, wolves still get two NKs for that night. Wolves may not NK themselves or choose to not use NKs.


Victory Conditions


Good - All good players win if all werewolves are eliminated.

Evil - All evil players win if the wolves achieve parity: if at any time the number of wolves remaining equals the number of non-wolves remaining, evil wins.



Important things to note
(you should read this):


There is no role/alignment reveal.

Wolves get N0 NKs.

There are two NKs until one wolf has been killed.

No night posting.

With Trigirl being this lock consensus good read for so many people, I find it really bizarre that she's alive. Just don't lock clear her for tone. There's a threshold where if she's still alive she should probably just be murdalated.

So, I'm planning on getting this game to start soon.
But right now, we have a couple options.

In this set as played by other people, N0 kills are implemented, to provide the village with some uncertainty about what roles are in the game. This balances the roleset more towards 50/50 and I will be doing it this game.

When the game starts, people who have been N0d will have their alignment removed so that this game does not count towards those people's stats.


However, there is a way to do this without actually NKing anyone who signs up on N0. If there is enough support for this in the poll, I will instead use dummy players, who will be randomly assigned good roles, and treat them as the N0s.


Advantages of starting with 15 and N0ing players:
Wolves are able to make strategic decisions based on the player list
The village is able to analyze info from the start of the day based on who would make those NKs

There is the potential for a bodyguard to get a save N0, which is not really a useable idea with dummy players


Advantages of starting with 13 and using dummy N0s:
No one is left out

Yep, although the chances of that are obviously low (<5%).
More likely than not, all the roles will be alive.
It may seem intense but it should be more balanced (and interesting) than the alternative.

Those of you who hate playing with no-reveals!Tfang should consider filling the game up before the happens.

The top option in the poll atm is to have dummy N0s, so if that's still the case when we hit 13, I'll start the game then and assign roles to the two sock accounts.
It's mostly to give a more accurate representation of how far away from starting we are.

I would prefer no N0s at all. I think that No Reveal is hard enough without the possibility of losing GSes before the game even starts.

I actually think that it's too good-sided if the roles are all known to be in the game from the start (even if it doesn't seem like it) because they're all strong roles.
I've tried this set IRL both ways, and without N0 kills, it's just way hard for evil to win if they miss the specials on N1, and it's 95% game over if a wolf dies D1. What happened last game was not 100% because of knowing that all the roles were alive, but it turned a hard situation for evil into an autoloss.
If there's a huge outcry I'll change the rules, but I think this way is more balanced.
