Subject: Most Number Of Runner Credits Per Turn rss

This question came up on the weekend playing netrunner with some mates (I did a quick search and couldn't see an existing thread for it):

Starting from 0 credits, what is the maximum number of credits a runner can get in a single turn?

The rules are:
- Assume any board state you want.
- Use any runner (and corp) ID you want.
- All your installed cards have 0 counters/credits on them. This excludes recurring credits.
- You start the turn with 5 cards and no two can be the same.

More rules may come if people bring up particular situations.

I have a come up with something just shy of 50 (might be able to get that up to 50 by adding some already on table support). I just want to see what other people can get before sharing what I came up with.

Thank you in advance for contributing.

this is not a realistic restriction though.

Seems fun but assuming any board stae you want leads to infinite credits.

For instance in my board state i have Kati Jones loaded to any value of X.

AS three times then unload Kati for EVERY MONEY FOREVER.

I agree. I will remove that rule.

After another little thought I am up to a bit over 60.

That is why I restricted all installed cards to have 0 credits/counters on them specifically for Kati and surged up caches.

Are we living in fantasy Christmasland? Because if so,

Let's assume you've got 3 Hard at Work, Starlight Crusade Funding, Joshua B, Rachael Beckman, 3 Stim Dealer, a PPVP, 3 All Nighter, 3 Same Old Thing at the start of your turn, and Aesop's Pawnshop. You've got 3 Frame Job, 3 Singularity, 3 Queen's Gambit, 3 Eureka!, and 3 Lawyer Up in the Heap.

When your turn begins, you lose 4 clicks, gain 6 credits, then gain 5 clicks. Trash Joshua B. to Aesop's to go to 9 credits. Trash all your All Nighters to go up to 8 clicks.

Click 1: Lucky Find, net 7. (16)
Click 2: Power Nap, net 17. (33)
Click 3&4: SOT Power Nap, net 18. (49)
Click 5&6: SOT Power Nap, net 18. (66)
Click 7&8: SOT Power Nap, net 18. (83)

0 to 83 in one turn, and all it took was 34 cards and all of your influence. whistle

Okay so....

Spoiler (click to reveal)

If we ignore the odd unique grip restriction, I think this is decent:

Installed will be:
* 3x All-nighter
* 1x Joshua B
* 1x Magnum Opus
* 1x Rachel Beckman
* 3x Same Old Thing
* 3x Stim Dealer

Grip will be:
* 3x Account Siphon
* 2x Push Your Luck

I'll use all the All-nighter's and Joshua B to have a total of 4+3+1+1+3=12 clicks. Here we go:

1. Magnum Opus [2]
2. Account Siphon [7]
3. Account Siphon [12]
4. Push Your Luck [20]
5. Push Your Luck [36]
6. Push Your Luck [68]
7-8. Same Old Thing for Push Your Luck [132]
9-10. Same Old Thing for Push Your Luck [260]
11-12. Same Old Thing for Push Your Luck [516]

Siphon should be +10, no? And assume you have Desperado + Gabe for an extra 5 credits after the 3 Siphons. Security Testing + Desperado is also 1 more credit than the Opus click.

I was thinking the same thing too but why are your AS only giving you 5? and why start with the MO? I got 1666 after doing the math.

Haha doh. You're right, should be a lot more! The MO is in there because I think you end up with one odd click left over and no more Same Old Things to use.

You could improve it by having Salvager out, trashing Joshua B. to draw a 6th card. Like a 3rd Siphon?

You forgot about the caches on the personal workshop with grimoire in play, and that as Nasir your first move should be to run into Janus with a rook on it.

Very soon it will be arbitrarily high, but it depends on the corp being arbitrarily stupid. Surprise, it's just a cell portal combo that works for the runner instead of the corp.

Runner:
Enormously Boosted Yog (At least str 7. Dinosaurus host + 2x Personal touch will do)

Corp:
Massively Overscored Braintrust (reduces rez costs of ice by 7)

Server consisting of:
Little Engine (Str 7 Code gate with ->End the run ->End the run ->Runner gains 5 credits)
Cell Portal

Run on server. Break ETR subs for free. Gain 5c. Corp rezzes cell portal for free. Get bounced back to Little Engine, derezzing cell portal. Rinse and repeat.

As a side to this exercise it would be nice to know how much is the highest number of credits the runner can achieve in a single click. I'll disregard future cards. I also disregard push your luck in this exercise due to its random nature.

Account syphon + desperado is 11, it's to this day the biggest credit swing the runner can manage.
Without syphon you could dirty laundry+desperado+security testing for 6.

If you also had Lamprey and Ixodidae in play it would be 12 and 7 respectively per click.

Can anyone else come up with anything better, possibly more sustainable? Is the maximum without any event card 3 credits per click?

Actually Stimhack on HQ to install 3x Cache, 1x Lamprey, and 3x Ixodidae from Personal Workshop with Grimoire is already 3*(3+1)+3*1=15 credits, and if that's a Security Testing Desperado Gabe run that's 20.

Once Hivemind is released, it is arbitrarily large because you could have prepped any number of virus counters on Hivemind before using Cache.

You forgot that Bank Job was installed in the remote.

I think click 1 is Dirty Laundry off of PPVP a remote with desperado installed. That's +14 credits, which should have an impact.

I think Cell Portal costing 0, and being rezzed forever, with compromised employee is the most simply way to get infinite credits.

I'm thinking a Snitch + Blackguard could actually force the corp to Rez once per run. Is there anything to make them repeatedly rez it?
