The Babylon Project was our last best hope for peace. It failed. In the year of the Shadow War, it became something greater, our last best hope for victory.

I was bored so I played out a few games alone, just setting up roles to play them all. After a few games playing by the established victory conditions, I decided to play it to save as many as I could & to fully extinguish the fire/smoke. I used the board with the corridor, not the center room.

I played "Heroic" difficulty level & used 5 roles played in the following order: Fire Captain; Driver/Operator; Paramedic; CAFS Firefighter; HazMat Technician. After a bad start that had a victim burned on the Captain's first turn, I did a reset by just redoing the POI placements.

The Captain stepped off the rig long enough to open the front door & got right back on, and stayed there for the rest of the game. He also moved the 3 interior crew to the door. For the rest of the game, the Captain spent the game driving the rig and moving the interior firefighters out of the way for the Driver/Operator to use the deck gun as well as getting them closer to their objectives. The Paramedic then went about treating & walking victims out. The CAFS Firefighter knocked down the fires in quadrants where he would not get in the way of the Driver/Operator. The HazMat Technician prevented explosions and helped with suppression.

I have actually played out 2 games like this. In the first game, I had total suppression while I was still getting victims out, but of course I kept rolling for advance fire, and trying to contain it. I got the rest of the victims out & achieved total suppression a second time. After getting all of the victims out, I switched the Paramedic to the Rescue Specialist for the extra movement, and the CAFS for the Generalist for the same reason. In the second game, I got all the victims out before I achieved total suppression. I only switched out the Paramedic for the Rescue Specialist the second time.

If you want a challenge, this is one of my (and our!) favorites:

Also any of the SGOYT challenges for Flash Point are a nice twist!

Are you absolutely sure you were playing it right, with advance fire happening after every player's move (rather than after every round)? And doing hotspots correctly?

I can't see how a 5p on heroic with the captain staying outside and spending APs to move the truck, and only 2 viable firefighters in the house is going to get you total suppression 2 games in a row without some incredibly lucky rolls.

Also, the outside doors are open to begin with.

I was rolling to advance fire after every player's move. I had a couple of bad starts including 1 that had a POI placed next to a fire which expanded at the end of the captain's (going first) first turn which had me lose a victim without having a chance to get inside so I did a reset and started over. The reason for the captain is that he can use AP to move others around inside to get them into position to do more, but he was also going immediately before the Driver/Operator and putting the rig in position for the Driver/Operator to get 2 shots per turn rather than having the Driver/Operator need to use up AP to move around.

I was doing a few things wrong which was the reason for the captain getting off the rig. I later found that he can order someone to open the door, not just move. I have been using the doors closed including exterior doors. Also, I was also starting everyone on the rig instead of starting them anywhere outside which is why I had them move to the door rather than starting there.

Also, yes, I was doing the hot spots correctly.

I'd love to watch a game like that unfold. Would you be willing to log one using the Fire Academy Challenge format?

I don't have a decent recorder. Also, it is not a quick game as a lot of time is spent moving around to knock down fires all over the house while trying to save all 10 non-blank POI.

The Fire Academy Challenge is a system of notation, like for Chess, where you can write down what happened in a game.
