This is a relatively brief report, but I just finished a three-player game over lunch. This was only my second game; the first was this weekend with five people. A couple of thoughts are that I really liked starting with three fields rather than two (as per the three-player rules), and that it is a lot more feasible to offer to take a card but not offer anything for it in return, as in a larger game the odds are good one or more players will have any particular type of bean in production already. The game was very tight all the way through, and in the end my friend Ron won with 30 coins, with Heather and I tied at 29. It took us about an hour to play, largely because the negotiating was somewhat extensive, but it was definitely an hour well-spent.
