That is, a set of 36 cards to use instead of rolling dice. (If it has a different common name than Dice Deck, that would explain why I can't find them anywhere.) I'm hoping for poker-card quality, but would settle for Catan-card minis. My ultimate dream would be a place that let me design the backs of the cards, or that has good Soviet, American, and German logos already available. (They're for ASL:SK games.)

http://timewellspent.org sells one.

Also, isn't a set of 36 dominoes essentially a dice deck? You could get some good heavy bakelite ones. [upon reading more closely] Nandeck, the freeware deck designing program, will let you do this. Then laminate, cut them out, and buy a corner punch and they will look totally slick.

Awesome. (Forgot that TimeWellSpent was a org address. com is some "Out of Business" page. I almost posted how sad I was that TWS died. And then I ordered from Thoughthammer. They should totally snap up the com address now.)

Anywho, thanks a ton. Since I am going to order from Funagain, but Mark answered first, I have to split the tip. I'm down to four so I have to be stingy.

It's called "Deck of Dice". Your local Brick and Mortar store can order it or search on http://www.boardgameseeker.com to see multiple online vendors that carry it.

Yeah, it's from Mayfair and actually makes sense to buy locally.

Scrapbookers and craft stores have the corner punches.

Short answer, no.

Longer answer:
- With two dice, 1 & 2
is not the same combination as 2 & 1.

A standard set of dominoes only one 1-2 combination.

- Dominoes have blanks effectively adding a 0 "side".

- This means dominoes don't come in sets of 36--double 6 sets have 28 bones.

To create "dice deck" out of dominoes, you'd need two matching sets and then you have to throw away all of the ones with blanks and one of the two copies of each double.

Not to mention, it would be difficult to shuffle dominoes...
