I know the Geek Rankings show a game's accumulated ranking. I know the Hotness shows current trends of what's being viewed. Is there something in between, that shows views/posts/etc. of an item over time? (Akin to looking at page views for a website.)

Specifically I'm looking for those views over time. How many were within the first month of its appearing on the geek? How many were a result of that game being mentioned in this thread?

The current system is not designed for this. However, if BGG had been built on top of something like Datomic (a db by Rich Hickey) you would be able to run queries against it as of any moment in time. The database never loses any data even in the case of updates and deletes. It presents a perfect picture as of any moment in time.
