Hi you all, I'm about to buy the game and have just been thinking about the rules. I can't seen to wrap my head around the double auction thing. What dynamic does it bring to the game? All the other auctions - open, once around, sealed, and fixed - I can understand how they add variation to the auctions making them more interesting. But double? Why would there be an auction where one of the participants would have bring out a second painting, then if they do, get all the proceeds including the first painting? It just doesn't appear to make much sense to me.
