Does anyone know of a free game site (like yahoo games) that is compatible with firefox? i'm not trying to download a free demo, just play what is available online. Yahoo games requires ie.

It depends of which games you want to play. For single player games, you can always go to http://www.popcap.com. They have demo versions of everything they make, playable online.

For web boardgames, there are a gazillion geeklists out there that link to web pages implementing many games, from Wallenstein to Cartagena.
