There is so many versions of this. Is this the newest version of the original game?

Versions of what exactly? As far as I know there is only one version of One Night Ultimate Werewolf. (The other slightly differently named similar games are still different games.)

There is a standalone expansion One Night Ultimate Werewolf Daybreak coming (just kickstarted) next year.

Just get One Night Ultimate Werewolf first.

Yes. The original, already fantastic game One Night Werewolf was tweaked into this even more outstanding game.

It isn't. Read the game descriptions. The "One Night" is a very big difference between the games.

Depends what you are after and how many players you have. One night is playable with 4-8 and in 7 minutes. UWDeluxe is the most current version of the original game where players are eliminated until the werewolves win or are all found and is best with 10-30 players.

Do what I did and get both.

Yes, I wouldn't have bothered trying the original (we don't have enough players anyway), but ONUWW works like a charm. It is even playable with 3, as long as you select and mix up the roles you include, with 4 ONUWW is already very good.

And it is much easier to get a game of ONUWW going than Avalon.

We have played 175 ONUWW's in about a year. We started already before the game was even available.
