My U.S. Marshal is actually an educated man. He went to college and law school back east, and his parents expected him to get a professional job in a fancy firm. He loved writing, and has kept a personal journal as a diary and to write fiction and poetry in during his off moments.

Although he knew he would disappoint his parents, his imagination was always fascinated by the West, and left to eventually end up using his legal knowledge as a U.S. Marshal. He still reads as much as possible, and writes whenever he can. Lately, he's been collecting everything he can on the odd killings that are taking place

Pedro "Boom" Gonzales is your prototypical bandit in many ways. He worked for the railroad companies blasting tunnels through mountains. He learned two things doing that - 1. How to make his own explosives, 2. How to drink.

His best friend Carson Smith was killed during a blast accident using Boom's homemade explosives. Boom ended up with his flask, and has been searching for something to alleviate his guilt over the accident since.

George "Torch" Gonzales is "Boom"'s older brother. His life started out much the same as "Boom", but George found faith when he miraculously survived the blast accident that killed Carson Smith. Torch has taken to the cloth with a vengence, but he keeps his silver dice around to remind him of his "holy" luck.

Frowning Rabbit was hired as a scout and tracker for a prospector posse during the dark stone rush of Brimstone. When the great explosion ripped through the veil of reality, a shard of irradiating darks stone buried deep within his eye and rendered him unconscious. When the red Indian arose he found the posse had been incinerated and his eye squirmed with dark energy. Quickly applying an old eye patch found in the dust, he set off toward the nearest frontier outpost. Now hired by a new posse of adventurers, Frowning Rabbit doesn't know how long he can hide the corruption, growing, buried beneath the worn patch over his eye.
