Played LnoE - Burn it to the ground scenario last night.
We were 3 turns from sunrise, I as the hero player had lost 2 hero's on the journey but was in a strong position with some good weaponry. All spawn pits in the manor had been doused with gasoline I just needed to light it. Unfortunately as I was surrounded by Zombies I had to leave 2 heroes in the house (1 with a lighter and another). So using an entire turn to burn the house (hero winning condition) caused the death of another 2 characters (presumably)... 4 hero's dead... the winning condition for the zombie player...
so who won? We declared a draw... it was 1am - I wasn't going to argue.
Sounds like a win for the Heroes. Take 'em where you can get 'em
As soon as the Hero with the lighter survived his turn the win condition was met. The fact that any died after that time would be a subsequent result of the win condition. But that is a good example of the ultimate sacrifice! Nice win!
