Founded in BGG thread http://www.boardgamegeek.com/article/1105433#1105433 Drop Weasel is a game created ad hoc at dark:thirty.
Can you be the best weasel? Compete for mice, rats, and other rodents, as well as fish, frogs, and birds' eggs! You assign dice to food sources, but what will they roll? Can you keep enough dice in play to react to opponents and win?
Components include a food control map, player mats, and different colored dice for each player.
Ok, this started as a total joke, but I really do have set of rules in mind--something of a random El Grande. If you are crazy enough to approve this, I will post my rules to get BGG members involved. I think it'll be fun and funny.
Strawman rules: Players allocate 12 dice to the six food groups by turning up sides (hidden). They reserve one die as an area designator and another for the scoring track (14 dice, total). The dice are put into the areas designated, then rolled. Players score the number of points of players they beat in score (beat 3 players, score 3). The bottom player in each food gets his dice back, to place next round, after rolling; but low numbers can be put aside, assigned to an area by setting a hidden die to the area, then re-rolled and placed, so these dice are less definite than the directly placed dice. The game lasts six rounds.
