A few years ago, I saw "Nosferatu" at St. John the Divine in New York (one of the largest cathedrals in the world). For those not familiar, "Nosferatu" is a very creepy 1922 German silent film based on Stoker's "Dracula". The music was played live on the organ; before the movie started, the organist (in full vampire regalia) was lowered from the significantly high rafters in the dark with a spotlight on him. After the movie, there was a "Procession of the Ghouls". A very cool experience and a bit shocking that the church would go for it (good for them).
