My wife and I recently went to a half dozen thrift stores in the last week, looking for a number of items, including board games.

We did find a few games worthy of purchase, but we were surprised at the plethera of children's games (many obviously rarely played). We saw tons of 'Junior' games including:

Monopoloy Junior
Scrabble Junior
Trivial Pursuit Junior
Boggle Junior
Clue Junior
Balderdash Junior
Outburst Junior
Pictionary Junior
Yahtzee Junior
Taboo Junior

Seeing all these kids games makes me wonder, why don't they make more euro games for kids? With a one year old daughter, I would love to start picking up good 'Junior' games that introduce her to gaming mechanisms found in many popular euro style games.

I know there is a Catan for Kids. Are their others?

Someone posted a statistic here one time that only 40% of gifted games are even opened. Or something like that. Probably a lot of those games at thrift stores were gifts.

Here is another junior version I'm aware of:

Apples to Apples Junior (7+) - not really a euro I think
Apples to Apples Junior 9+

Many euros are for ages 8+, like Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride.
Also, a lot of German style games are made specifically for kids, by companies like Haba, Ravensburger, Rio Grande Games, Gamewright, etc.
