I will soon be in a small hotel room with 8-12 people. Is there a party game that anyone can suggest? I suppose we could manage appointing one person to be a scorekeeper if need be. But as most people will sitting on the edge of the beds rather than at a table, they can't be expected to manage a pen or paper or much else themselves.
Any ideas? Celebrities, Werewolf, and Charades come to mind. Others?

Telestrations: 12 Player Party Pack - each person just has to hold their drawing pad. One of my favourite party games.
Will you be near another person renting a hotel room? If so you could do Two Rooms and a Boom.
The Resistance: Avalon should work. All you really need is maybe an end table to place the round track on.
Also if everyone has a phone with Internet you can play Spyfall without even buying the game. Everyone just goes to spyfall.meteor.com, one person creates the game and the others join in.

I just realized that the type of game I am after is called a "parlor game." Here's a great geeklist:

your best answer is going to be Snake Oil
Well, you have to have a fun group for this game to be fun. Otherwise one of the above mentioned games will work.
