So, I had the wheel of fate randomly generate a game and it came up with this:

Thanos
X-Cutioner's Song (Ultron)
Gambit, Juggernaut, Spider-Man
Streets of New York
Cops

Now that I think about it the Infinity Gems were on my "excluded list". But seeing the set-up above, how does Thanos go down without the -2 of the Infinity Gems?!

Thanks,
rudy

What's so great about it?

I'm not sure you can really play Thanos without the Infinity Gems.

I suppose you could treat every defeated villain in your score pile as a gem, but that doesn't work out the same either.

Check your GotG rules sheet. It mentions how to handle Thanos when playing solo.

Whichever villain group you use instead of the Infinity gems Thanos gets -2 fight for each of those villains in your victory pile.

So for your setup Rudy for each Streets of New York villain in your victory pile Thanos gets -2 fight.

Wow. I'm an idiot.

So clearly labeled in the rules. I might have been able to kill him. LOL!

At one point he did have three Ultrons, so maybe not!

Last game of 2014 and I played it wrong :\

Thanks guys!

As penance, you should play the same setup over again.

HA! Not a bad idea, I'm currently using

http://tablemonkey.net/Legendary

to randomly setup games and then excluding cards to setup a new "fresh" game. I'm hoping to go through all masterminds this way, always a new experience no repeats!
