It seems more and more often my current gaming table is not large enough to handle all the expansion boards and playing aids. I need one at least 6' long and a minimum of 40" wide. This is where I am having trouble...it's not the length it's the width. Almost all tables seem to be 30", some 36", but never greater.

If you've seen any for sale with these specs I'd appreciate a response.

Thanks in advance,
Keith

Might consider this table:

http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Dark-Walnut-Extendable-...

It rests top folded as a 36 in x 36 in then easily opens to 72 in x 36 in. A little narrower than what you are looking for, but 6 ft long when folded open.

I love mine.

Often out of stock at Overstock, Wayfair usually has it. DO NOT order from Amazon if you are interested. I ordered one twice and they delivered each time completely destroyed! The boxes were totally mangled. Overstock ships palletized. To be fair the manufacturer doesn't really pack it well, but Overstock and Wayfair recognize that and send it with a little more support than Amazon.

My dining/gaming table is Stakmore expandable. Folds down to a desk size, 20"x40". Expands to card table (40"x40"), small dining (40"x56") and large (40"x72"). Comes in different styles and finishes too. We love it!

I looked at all the beautiful suggestions the responders before me listed. But I'm miserly. When I needed more gaming space I bought a board from Home Depot and covered it with green felt. I put it on top of my smaller table to expand the dimensions. And the felt makes a nice surface for picking up single cards or rolling dice.

I've been looking for a large table for war gaming. We finally decided to get one of these.

http://www.wayfair.com/Wildon-Home-%C2%AE-Antelope-Dining-Ta...

Overall: 30.75" H x 39.25" W x 70.75"- 86.25" L
Removable leaf: 39.25" W x 15.5" L

For wider games we'll use some folding banquet tables from Staples/Costco side by side and store them in the garage when not in use.

I game on my dining room table, and about a year ago I bought the Alonzo dining room table from Ashley Furniture. It has a built-in butterfly leaf; the dimensions without the leaf in are 42x54, and with the leaf in it's 42x72. I purchased the set locally at an Ashley Home Store, but it looks like the table and six chairs are available on Amazon for about $815.

Office conference tables tend to be wider than standard household tables. Check out office furniture stores.

Pete (has gotten 2 of his 3 main game tables from offices when they were replaced)
