wow no one responded to this?

Sorry, for that, but your original post was a bit vague on what kind of games you like.

i would suggest playing a round of various games.

keep an eye out for

Light games:
Machi Koro
Suburbia (light as in easy to play, this game has leagues of depth though)
King of Tokyo
Sushi Go!

Co-op Games:
Pandemic
Ghost Stories
Defenders of the Realm

Silly but fun games:
Ugg-Tect
Concept

more easy to pick up fun, that i highly recommend for gatway games.
Survive: Escape from Atlantis!
Galaxy Trucker

Thanks guys, we ended up playing:

Dead of Winter
King of New York
Forbidden Desert
Cash and Guns

Sheriff would have been on the list but it's not available in the UK yet I think.

I'll post a review of the cafe; Thirsty Meeples in Oxford UK separately, but they were/it was great.

I'm also just got home and I'm buzzing about trying to put together some general games design thoughts based on hitting all these games as brand new games to all of us today.
