We've been playing the boardgame but prefer the 5th edition rules and I was wondering if anyone has converted the cards to 5th yet.

Thanks!

I'd be interested to know what kinds of changes that would entail. What aspects of the existing cards are specific to 4th ed?

This would be a major overhaul of the game. First you'd have to break all the powers out of AEUD. Then, you'd have to rework the bonuses into advantage/disadvantage.

I've been wondering if WOTC would do something like this for a new game. Maybe base it on another popular book series like Elminster. Wouldn't be a bad way to get the new rules to a wider audience.

To use as a quick intro to D&D 5e. I do agree that 4th ed fits this boardgame well.

But why? You don't need maps and minis for 5e. devil

Maps and figures help people new to RolePlaying in general. At least the friends that I have in mind. :-)

Well I will say that I watched The Dice Tower review The Temple Of Elemental Evil, the new game in the series from Wizkids and WOTC. And Advantage/Disadvantage are now conditions in the game.
