I was thinking- wouldn't this be a great game for a Kickstarter campaign? The initial goal could fund the 1st set, stretch goals could add the other sets, etc etc.

I miss seeing this and playing it- I would love to see how it would do with a new breath of life in it.

Think there's any hope?

Unlikely but anything is possible. I own all but one or two of the starter sets and I think it's a great game. Such a simple concept but one that was so much fun to play. Not to mention that the production quality of those cards was absolutely beautiful.

All that said however, with the cards I own I have more than enough variety that I don't feel I really need to add more to it. That's just me though, so if there are others out there like you who really want more, I hope you get your wish!

I would back a kickstarter without hesitation. I have every card created for it. I believe Michael Brown likely still owns the rights to it and I have no idea how to contact him.

Actually, you can send an email to Jeremy Holcomb, who worked on the game at jeremy@playccg.com. I believe he knows how to reach Michael.

i quote every word. in addition, with the new rising of the game there would be also some new tournaments, the true sap to keep a ccg alive in time

unfortunately, as said by rick, mr brown still owns the rights, so i'm afraid nothing new can be done about anachronism

He answered me:

"I'm pleased to see that you have such enthusiasm for the game. I'll
try to get this information to Mike Brown and see where is goes from
there."

If there is no answer of Michel Brown i will try again...

anachronism definetevely deserves a comeback. i'm lining up

anyway, launching a kickstart, shouldn't cost anything why don't try? in the worst case, it wouldn't receive the minimum pledge and nothing would happen

I will totally back a Kickstarter campaign.
I wonder if it's really necessary to go through the copyright maze in order to publish a game. I mean as long we do not use the same name I am positive that we can start a campaign. I don't know, we can just call the game "The Anachronist".
I actually jot down a Kickstarter Project. Whoever is interested in it please get in touch with me via pm.

Nik

I'd be all over a Kickstarter campaign. This is a game that is just begging for a resurgence. I actually just started filling out my collection again. So many good memories.
