Which lost sub are counted for the 'lost marker'? It is clear that sub sunked in combat, do it.

But, what about the 'lost at sea, cause unknow' by transit event?

Is there another cause to lost a sub?

Unfortunately, Raul, all allied submarines lost from any cause are counted.

I cannot think of any situation where a submarine can be lost without an action taken by the player. Even transit losses (for the most part) could be avoided by Cautious Transit - but you cannot afford to do that all the time.

Potential loss situations are the most exciting parts of the game whether from passive Transit Events or aggressive events like Betty Bomber; or trapped by more escorts than you bargained for; or lurking Diligent Escorts during attacks.

Balancing risk to gain is always with you in this game. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.

There are several situations in which lost a sub does not count: a sub in repair that you don't want to repair, or sub in bases that due an event war can not RTB.

So, transit event that sunk a sub, does count in 'lost marker'. Thanks.

You are correct. Had not thought of those situations. Luckily I have not been faced with those situations - yet.
