Some questions from playing the first combined game yesterday...

- How and when is the Dragon chosen from the selection of available options? Is it random like the Nameless One?

- The Nameless One starts hidden until you visit the Mice. Does the same go for the Dragon?

- Do you choose your Heroic Quest from the King or do you get distributed one randomly? The Heroic Quest cards are printed on slightly different colored and textured stock, so it's hard to hand them out or have players choose them randomly (everyone knows by look or feel which ones belong to the Dragon expansion - same for the event chips in the bag, but not much you can do about that).

- How many Heroic Quests can you receive? Only one? One every turn you're in the castle? Is there a maximum?

- If all players have received the maximum number of Heroic Quests they can have, what do you do when you draw a Heroic Quest chip from the bag that no one has the quest for? Discard and draw again? Put it out anyway (for no good reason)?

- What happens if everyone has the maximum number of Heroic Quests they can have and no one has a Dragon or Nameless One quest? Is everything associated with those final options discarded from the game?

- Does the Dragon Man go in the bag with the Dragon Events when the Dragon is drawn? Or is he like the Tower Servants who are put around the tower when the Nameless One is drawn?

Thanks!

Glossay write P.18,Magic Artifacts: There are three magic artifacts that help you in defeating the Dragon.........................
With all 3 artifacts, you need to find a certain scroll fist. Each scroll is in the possession of particular being. To receive the scroll you need to succeed in the appropriate trial.Whoever "finds" the scroll also takes up the corresponding task card.

This doesn't seem to be covered, even in the rules for the standalone game. I would say to choose it randomly, as with the Nameless.

Again, I would handle this the same as the Nameless (and I would allow a choice of which one to look at when visiting the Mice).

The combined rules say that you can choose one of the eight heroic deeds by going to the king's court (J5). This matches the rule for the standard game on the back of RotH's rulebook, except for the limit (since there is now a possibility of six players instead of four).

"You may not hold more than one heroic deed and one scroll."

It doesn't say, but identifying such spare counters seems rather tedious. I suppose that once everyone has a heroic deed, counters for the other heroic deeds could be cleaned from the board and replaced upon drawing. (There won't be a leftover scroll if you have three or more players.)

"The Dragon begins the game in the bag. As soon as he is drawn, the six special Dragon counters (5x Dragon Events, 1x Dragon Man) are put into the bag."

We played that the hidden dragon is revealed in one of two ways: (1) by using the Mice, or (2) whenever the first dragon event occurs. The second option made thematic sense to us, since someone would presumably "see" the dragon when it did its nasty work.

I have no idea what the official ruling is, though.

I wasn't able to find anything specifying this in the rules during my last game, so I put him on the board when the dragon appeared. It made sense to me since he has the same dark blue border as the Nameless Guards and the Dragon seems relatively weak compared to the Nameless.
