Getting to excited about Lion Rampant, I made an impulse buy of a bunch of Games Workshop Bretonnian infantry. (They were such a deal I couldn't pass them up. shake)

Don't worry, I'll be scraping the extra fantasy bits off the figures.

Unfortunately, I'm not terribly familiar with the different medieval armor styles. So, what country/period would these match so I can try to piece together a mostly historically cohesive force?

Thanks for the help

I support your enthusiasm! A much better use for Brettonians if the rumors about "End Times" changes to Warhammer come true...

Those could pass for mid-14 century longbowmen (archers or expert archers in LR) and the men-at-arms as "serjeants".

You didn't say how many you have but you could build a 24 list pretty quick if you acquired 24 of each of those and added 6 mounted serjeants (Brettonian Mounted Yeomen would scale and match nicely, but I couldn't find them on eBay)

2 x 12 Expert Archers
2 x 12 Foot Serjeants
1 x Mounted Serjeants

Bob's your uncle! Call them English or Scots
