With 4 players tonight we decided to go for Mexica. Since we're often more than 4 players we don't have the chance to play this game often. It's one of the first european strategy game we learned many years ago and we always had good plays.

Martin started the game at the tip of the island to create a distric of 10 hexes. Martin continued his agressive start with a second district he builded and at the same time he stayed on a bridge to block Pierre from going outside his new area. Adrien accumulated the free actions and made a attack on Pierre's district to take 1st place in a large district. Nathalie did the same on the large 10 hexes area of Martin to take first place but Martin came back to build on the last available space to retake 1 st place. Nathalie ended the 1st round and Pierre and Adrien were able to finish on the sacred area to make 5 more points. These players had the lead after round 1. Martin began second round by founding a 13 spaces area and was able to build 2 large buildings. Nathalie spend 5 points to teleport herself in many interesting districts but it costed her too many action points to make victory points. In the end we were not able to build any more districts so it would end by having a player spend his last building. At this stage Martin had a presence in most of the districts and seemed in a very good position.

Finally Pierre won the game but it was very close. He was able to score many points in small areas where he was almost alone. Again we appreciate this classic game. The game went very fast and every players made some mistakes. Interaction between players is excellent and at the same time you can control most part of your game.

Final scoring:
Pierre: 84
Adrien: 82
Martin: 75
Nathalie: 66
