Present at this meeting of the F&DG, LLC: Grace and Josh, the only two members. The purpose of the meeting: Play "Through the Desert", one of the most recent batch of games to arrive for the "Summer of Games". Member observations follow:

Grace: "I thought 'Through the Desert' was a fun, simple, and very quick game. When we played it, it went smoothly and quickly. It's a fun, short game that you could easily play two or three times in one sitting and not get bored."

Josh: "What she said."

The game began with Josh placing first, and starting off the trend of positioning each rider two spaces from an oasis. Taking first move and thereby getting only one camel for the first "real" move proved to be no handicap whatsoever, as Josh went on to win the game by a 16 point margin. Grace and Josh each scored one enclosure, with the larger area going to Josh. Each of us had two longest caravan scores, and we tied on the purple caravan, thereby effectively eliminating that concern from the final scoring. The point difference was down entirely to the value of the waterholes achieved, and the three-point difference in enclosures. Josh felt, as always, that Grace missed a few opportunities to play "hose your opponent," but he is not complaining. On the other hand, "Father" always seemed to be out for "Daughter"'s blood.
