Sports Illustrated Baseball (SIBB) is a relatively old (older than me!) baseball sim that I discovered this year. It's my favourite new game this year, amid a tough crowd that includes Blue Moon City, Glory to Rome, and Thurn and Taxis. Actually, tinkering with SIBB card-creation is the main reason for the hiatus of my Frozen in Time series!

Though SIBB is long out of print, with certain editions commanding very high prices on eBay, enough gamer-made material has been that is essentially Print-and-Play now. Check out Randy Cox's excellent Teams of the Past or MLB 2004, or my soon-to-be-released 2006 World Series (it'll be coming out just before the real World Series). All of these sets include everything you need to play but the dice; see http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/122066 for a tutorial on how to make those.

And so that's why I did a Snapshot for SIBB: I wanted to see if anyone actually played my 2006 World Series!

Frozen In Time: A BGG Snapshot is a series of articles capturing BGG data at a specific point in time. These articles intend to highlight changes over time, and may be followed up on in the future. I hope you find them interesting. I take Snapshots of games I think will show significant change in the future, although I may also choose games based on personal interest.
