I have only tried this with "Winter Has Come" Main Objective. When the secret objective was revealed on round 4, two of the Non-players have the betrayal secret objective cards. It turned out to be a pretty close game and I was one fuel short from completing the objective in the last round.

*Recommended

Setup Changes:
1. Pick a main objective (*Long game)
2. Pick number of Non-player (*3 Non-players)
3. Shuffle Survivor Deck and deal 6 survivor cards to yourself. Then choose 3 to keep and return the rest of the cards to the survivor deck.
4. Give yourself 1 dice and add 1 dice for each survivor that you have.
5. Deal 1 survivor card to each Non-player.
6. Give 2 dices to each survivor that a Non-player has.
7. Set aside 2 non-beyrayal secret objective cards and 1 betrayal secret objective card for each Non-player.
8. Deal 5 starter item cards to yourself and 5 starter item cards to each Non-player and do not reveal the Non-player's hand.

Player Turns Phase Changes:

1. Reveal Crisis
- If there is still more than half of total rounds left, you need to collect half of the number plus one of requested item cards to resolve the crisis. (ex. The main objective starts with 8 rounds and the round counter is above 4. There is 4 total players (Yourself and 3 Non-players). Then you need to contribute (4/2 + 1) 3 requested item cards to resolve the crisis.)
- Else, you need to collect only half of the number of requested item cards to resolve the crisis.

2. If there are only half of the number of total rounds left. Shuffle the set aside secret objective cards and deal 1 card to each Non-player. Reveal the secret objective cards. If a Non-player has a betrayal objective, that Non-player should no longer be counted as a part of the Colony except any card that the Non-player uses should still go to the waste pile. You cannot exile a Non-player and the exile cards should not be used.

On Player Turn:
1. Before you end your turn, draw a Crossroad card and see if you trigger it.

On Non-Player Turn:
1. Draw a Crossroad card at the beginning of the Non-Player Turn. If it is a thumbs up or down option, you decide what happens. Otherwise, roll a dice to determine option 1 or option 2 happens.
2. Each survivor of a Non-player should have 2 action dices.
3. Roll the 2 action dices.
4.
- If there is no secret objective card is in play, do the following for each survivor that a Non-player has.
Roll an AI (a separate dice from the 2 action dices) dice to determine the action the survivor of the Non-player will take.

Rolled 1 - Attack (If the survivor is in the colony, roll the AI dice to determine at which of the 6 entrance to kill the zombie. Reroll if there are no zombie at the location)
Rolled 2 - Search (Roll the AI dice, if it is 1,2,3 reveal the card face up and you should choose how you want the Non-player to use the card. Otherwise, put it face down into the Non-player's hand.)
Rolled 3 - Barricade (If the survivor is in the colony, roll the AI dice to determine at which of the 6 entrance to put a barricade. Reroll if there are no spot left at the location)
Rolled 4 - Clean Waste (Only possible if the survivor is at the colony. Reroll if there is no more waste to clean)
Rolled 5 or 6 - Move the Survivor. (The survivor can only move once per round. Reroll the AI dice to determine which of the other 6 location the survivor should go.)

Perform the action if the survivor has the action dices required for the action. Otherwise reroll the AI dice until the survivor of the Non-Player has used up all action dices. Before the Non-player's turn ends, pick a random card from the Non-player's hand to contribute to the crisis if possible.

-Else, secret objective card is revealed. The survivor of a Non-player with a secret objective card should always spend the action dices toward completing the secret objective in the order listed on the secret objective. When performing a search action, the player should reveal the card. If the card helps complete the secret objective, put it face up and separate from the Non-player's hand. Else, put the card face down and into the Non-player's hand. If the secret objective requires the Non-player to use the card then use the revealed card and put the card in the waste pile.

Reverse back to using the AI dice once the secret objective is completed for the Non-player.

For Non-player with a betrayal secret objective card, that Non-player should no longer be counted as a part of the Colony except any card that the Non-player uses should still go to the waste pile. If the betrayal Non-Player's survivor shares the same location as other survivors, the betrayal Non-Player's survivor should attack the other survivors using an action dice.

Survivor Exposure and Death Changes:
-All Non-Player's survivor can take one additional wound token before dying.
-Bitten effect should be treated as 2 Wound token effect for Player and Non-Players.
-If a Non-player's survivor dies, the Non-player's hand is not discarded. Deal a new survivor card to the Non-player if the Non-player has no more survivor and decrease the moral by one.
-If the Non-player has a betrayal secret objective then remove the Non-player from play when the Non-player has no more survivor. The Non-player's hand should be left at the location where the survivor dies. If a Player's survivor or a Non-Player's survivor goes to the location or share the location, add the cards to that Player or Non-player's hand.

Things to Try:
After half way point of the game, keep dealing secret objective card to Non-player that doesn't have a betrayal secret objective and reveal it at the being of Player Turn Phase. If it is a betrayal card, replace the non-betrayal secret objective with the betrayal secret objective, otherwise discard the new card.

If can't contribute to the crisis, do the card be discard, go on waste pile or return to Non-player's hand?

I think he means contribute it face down to the crisis. Though I can see this part being messy, considering you would need to secure 3 items to the crisis on your lonesome 9/10 times. Doubt the AI in this case would be able to help much. I would further suggest limiting the number of contributions to the crisis to be 1+ number of players (eg 2) or even just 1 of the designated crisis contribution (though this may be too easy)

EDIT: After resolving the crisis, discard the card as per normal gameplay rules.
