My fellow Geeks:

I've created an expansion for AoS and I'd love to get some feedback from any of you who are willing to test it. It's a map of Puerto Rico and the roles combine some AoS rules and some rules from Seyfarth's Puerto Rico. It's a relatively small map (best for 4 players), but building costs are high so it should provide a good challenge even for experienced players.

The most recent version of AoSR (it's a bit rough around the edges but has been played several times and works well) can be found here:

Anyone try it? What range of players is best? It does look fun with the role selection changes, especially adding a dollar per unused role.

Tried it and it is indeed a nice and original variation. The roles turned into PR-roles turn the game quite upsidedown. No locomotive action is a main difference. Tight map, we played with 4 players. Most building options were finished at the end of turn 7. But very original, enjoyable, I like every map that changes a lot and this one is very creative, it works well. Thanks for designing and publishing it.

Have you bothered to look at the file section of the appropriate expansion?

No need to be rude. It is not listed in the puerto rico expansion listing, looks like it is in jamaica/puerto rico instead.

Also this thread link is dead which prompted my question.

So "yes"

As the page associated with this states:

This is a print and play map that is not to be confused with the later Alspach map with the same name. This map is a multi-player map that uses Puerto Rico's coin mechanism, as unselected roles gain money which is picked up when that role is selected in later rounds. This makes even otherwise undesirable roles become valuable after a few rounds.

The map is detailed in this thread:
http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/130388

Which sends me here. I was on the right page, the PnP available on the other AoS Puerto Rico is Teds version not this one according to all information i can find. Unless those files are in the wrong directory.

Did you bother to look at the map designer?

It's just an artifact of BGG's structure change a few years ago -- file URLs changed. You want this file, which is under the Age of Steam files section.
