What about a new category for Best Kickstarted Game? Or Best Indie Game?

Kickstarter has really done some neat things for the gaming hobby, it has really brought "Indie" to gaming. It has also been great for BoardGameGeek.com! I know that because of it, I have contributed a lot for ads and contests. While some indie games are really great, they cannot always compete with games put out by established/traditional publishers. It would be great to recognize indie games with an a Golden Geek Award.

I hope you'll consider it.

completely agree with this, and perhaps some award for notable publisher, say innovation or something.

Best KS award could also have a mid-long term affect of improving the overall quality of KS games, it could become another reason to run a great campaign.

I sure wish the voting filter included a "wishlist" option. There might be games that I have demoed or watched, but not played, which I would want to nominate.

Hmmm, are we able to nominate Cheesehead TV or the Green Bay Packer Podcast if they talk about settlers?

Nominated a few of my favorites!

It's OK to nominate Star Wars: Imperial Assault as a wargame, right?

I like the idea of a Best Indie Game in theory, but how on earth would you determine eligibility? Next to the Hasbros, Mattels and Asmodees, everyone else looks pretty small.

About Podcasts -- there seem to be a bunch missing.

For example, the two I watch the most:
Starlit Citadel
and
Marco's board game video reviews

also Ava Jarvis' Solo Boarding reviews

Podcasts are audio. They should add a youtube channel category.

Oh, that explains it. I thought "podcast" would also include video podcasts.

I'd like to see things get to the point where a game shows-up in one category only, or two at the most. Having a game appear in three or four different categories dilutes the purpose of having categories. Also, limiting the number of categories a game can be nominated in will free-up more slots for other games.
