Hi All,

I'm searching for a way to split a 3x3 card layout into single cards for a pnp project I wish to publish with printer studio. Is there a way I can automatically crop them into 9 images without doing them one by one by hand. If so please share your knowledge with me and point me in the right direction please

Thanks in advance

YACK is meant to do exactly what you want:
YACK (Yet Another Cardmaking Kit) - Tool to change the layout of cards in a PDF
https://github.com/court-jus/yack

Otherwise, you could probably do this with nanDeck, too.

In either case, you'll have to do some amount of tweaking to get each application to do what you want.

Thanks, scraimer to mention my tool.

Alexandre, I'm the developer of YACK. The tool is designed to fit your need. If you need any help or request a feature, please let me know.

It's not hard to install but there are a few steps to follow. They are documented in the "INSTALL.txt" file here

And this is a nanDECK script for splitting an image into 3x3:

[split]=framebox(0,0,100%,100%,33.33%,33.33%)
image=1,"Some image.jpg",0,0,100%,100%,0,P
save=1,"Result{°}.jpg",<split>

The first line defines the nine frames (a different number can be chosen by changing the 33.33%), the 2nd line loads the image and the 3rd saves all the frames (Result1.jpg, Result2.jpg and so on).

Cool, thanks Andrea !

As a side note, I've just implemented batch processing in YACK so once you have defined and saved your favorite output layout and you have described the input layouts of the PnP files, you can have it generate everything at once :-)
