Hi,

I just now saw a post on BGG (I know I know, I should check in more often) about a new version of Die Macher, to be produced by a company called Valley Games. Only two months ago, I bought a shrinkwrapped copy of the original 1997 edition of the game.
You can probably see me coming from a mile away: is the Valley Games edition purely a reprint with adapted graphics, or is there an entirely new or re-thought gaming system in there?

Thanks a lot

Tellius

As far as I know, the 'new' version of Die Macher is a straight reprint with very few, if any, rule changes.

You can find out more here: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/123567

It's a reprint with new graphics and all of the good FAQ rulings tossed away.

I agree with Chris, but if one wants to, it should not be a problem to play the Valley Games version with the 2nd Edition (+ FAQ) rules.

I personally am glad that I own a HiG copy, and there is no need to buy a new one if you own a 2nd edition copy as well.

At least add that they were thrown away by the original author.

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies, I'm pretty happy I didn't buy Die Macher in vain. I do like the new look of the money though;-)

Thanks again
