The biggest problem for me are the static defenses at the moment: They are so hard to kill in the beginning, but they pile up, and then there are 4 of them and I lose the game.
If I gang up on one of them, I often leave two Axis units unengaged, and then I lose because of too many "Disorganized" cards.
And while "Roadblocks" are more or less easy to fight, "Blockhouses" do need armor piercing attacks (and as far as I understand I need COMPLETELY to attack with AP, right? Not only one unit?) and those are hard to get in the beginning...

Do I miss something?

You may attack blockhouses and any other armored card with any US unit. It may die and it may not do any damage to the armored card. But the armored card was engaged and it will be discarded.

Your paratroopers will follow orders to the point of certain death in order to get the rest of the unit around a particularly strong enemy unit or defense. It's up to you as the Airborne Commander to make sure their sacrifices are not made in vain.

Wait...
When I engage a Static Defense, but don't destroy it - it will be discarded? I thought Static Defense cards stay in play until destroyed?

Static defense cards stay in play until they are engaged.
They are discarded when engaged.
They are added to your scoring pile when destroyed.

I've read through the rules again. My mistake.
I thought you have to destroy them, otherwise they stay in play!
This will make the game much easier!! Normally I lost either due to the fourth Static Defense, or because I drew the last Disorganized, because I tried to destroy the Static Defense... shake

Ok - today I will give this another try! Undoubtedly much better than before! :-)

And my first win with 8 VPs minus 5 Disorganized -> 3 VPs total!

But... finally I see light at the end of the tunnel!! :-)

But I have to critizise, that:
- the symbols for AP attack are very hard to see
- the text on the terrains is very hard to read
- I'd like to see symbols for the starting Paratroopers...

Speaking of addressing printing issues in the KS campaign, that armored car, card 48? The card merely says "Sd Kfz." but if you want to be more accurate, it is a Sd Kfz 222.

If there's another printing of the rules, it'd be nice to include this in the "Static Defenses" section on page 8.

This is something one doesn't fully grasp until after playing a game. But when trying to become familiar with the rules before playing, (or during the first play), I would've looked to the "Static Defenses" section to answer the same question as posed by the OP in the 3rd posting, above.
