I'm at a loss here... what are the guns on the british boats used for? I mean the first number from left on the counter... the british covering fire don't use this number so I really can't understand his use
We few,we happy few,we band of brothers; For he today that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother: be he ne’er so vile; And gentlemen in England now-abed Shall think themself accurs’d they were no here That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day.
The guns are not fired per Boat, but as part of the Flotilla overall gunnery on the action pad (above the victory point score). their more to indicate the number of heavier calibre guns on the boats.
But as the boats take damage the gun hits are crossed off on the flotilla score (think of it as various combined shooting as the flotilla sails down the harbour,as ships are hit/sunk the effect is less and less) No boat targets individually the german shore batteries etc, rather as a whole over (continuous fire from all boats) over a three min' turn.
