Hi folks,

due to my recent readings of an italian comic book (Adam Wild) I feel the strongest urge to play a Darkest Africa skirmish game. It could be a board or miniature (war)game, but with a 1/1 scale. If 3D, I will be more than glad to receive models recommendations as well, better if from european manufacturers (due to shipping costs).

The flavour I'm searching for is a 'Quatermain' style: brave adventurers, gallant officers, evil slavers, and of course hostile tribes!

Thank you!
Gabriele

Two Hour Wargames has some skirmish rules that you might like:

Larger Than Life: The Game of Pulp Adventures. There is a new "Director's Cut" edition. They also publish Colonial Adventures! Fortunes Won & Lost and Colonial Lemuria: New Worlds To Conquer

There are several rule sets you could use.

Pulp Alley is probably the closest to what you're looking for

In Her Majesty's Name may be steampunk oriented but you can easily ignore the technogubbins. There's even a list for Quatermain's Company.

Crooked Dice's 7TV is set in more modern environments but since it's designed to recreate popular adventure shows on TV the rules can be used for Darkest Africa as well (if they can deal with Dr Who, they can deal with anything )

As for miniatures check out North Star and Copplestone among others.
