Alpha Centauri - our home world. We are miners. We mine and trade. That is our purpose...

Here is a short story, how our empire has grown to one of the biggest in whole galaxy.

Just after researching space travel our exploration teams encountered not very friendly, but rich in minerals Radioactive World. Our emperor decided to settle there, disregarding his advisors who strongly said "No" because of radioactivity there... And our expansion continued. Few years later emperor once again disregarded lethality of settling another dangerous world - this time it was Bio-hazard Mining world. Well, people started to talk about necessary change of emperor. But our society benefited from his moves - we were able to trade so much minerals for resources needed to further expand! Some time later our expedition teams found another dangerous world, but since emperor was aware of unrest he decided we will take a bit different route this time - he moved much of our resources to develop Mining Conglomerate. It was perfect move - we were able to earn a lot of space bucks! Unfortunatelly, after moving on to closest habitable world we encountered Galactic Trandsetters. The only demanded our hard earned goods and emerors decision was questioned once again... It was easy to predict what has happened next - he was assasinated. Revolutionists decided it is time to change our approach to ruling our empire thus Galactic Federation emerged among the stars. This change came with a price... Some tech-geek guys decided we should develop more instead of looking for another trade opportunities and colonizing new worlds. Researchers and settlers came to an agreement after one year of arguing what to do next. Trade League was founded instead of colonizing, but we still expanded in economy plane. Since developing was more and more expensive our goverment decided to take some Investment Credit that was necessary for creating Merchant Guild - imagine yourself a Merchant Guild wothout any resources to invest! With all this expansion into developing it was unavoidable - Galactic Renaissance started few years later. Our Federation was blooming like never before. Our people were living in luxury. Noone wanted to be "just a miner" anymore. Thus we developed Replicant Robots to help us with some basic tasks. Some time later, noone knows how it happened, we built Drop Ships. Why? Who was responsible for such a strange decision? Noone knows and probably reason behind this will never be revealed. I can only suspect someone with connections wanted to conquer one of peacfull worlds surrounding us. Or maybe it was for pure indimidation reasons? Anyway, just after putting all drop ships into orbit or Alpha Centauri one of neighbouring worlds decided to join our Federation. Well, "world" may not be a good word. It was just a bunch of people living in Comet Zone. I believe they decided to join us because of our roots. They were miners, so were we.

At that point our Federation was one of the biggest in galaxy. We have great economy running, trade routes everywhere and all our people are living in luxury on 5 small worlds we own! We may not be the biggest, but definitely we are the strongest power in galaxy!
