First off, a big thank you to everyone who was a part of this game. Thank you for your patience and thank you for your feedback, but most of all thank you for playing with me. I hope you enjoyed playing half as much as I enjoyed writing.

Second, thank you to everyone who contributed whether it was material such as the community-written and edited Jargono Tribal Village or the exploits of your adventures so that they could be integrated into the story.

Finally, the last finale. Results based on two of three groups' reporting success:

After a vicious battle ranging through the mines, the abomination of Cartwright is defeated again. When first he appears Miles puts a bullet in his skull, but even that isn't enough to keep down Cartwright, though shielded as they are by the same Dark that gives Cartwright his strength Cartwright is forced to retreat deeper into the caverns. Though the power of his dark channeling forces some of the heroes out of the mines, still others persevere. At last, protected by Randolph Anderson, Uncas channels the power of his people and their ancient medicine man, driving the dark out of Cartwright and binding it.

The summoned power unleashes a powerful explosion and the tunnels begin collapsing. The heroes race out of the tunnels, barely ahead of the falling rock and debris. Though they know what a danger it is leaving Cartwright's body behind, having seen him come back once already, they have no choice but to leave him. Knowing now the persistence of the Dark and its agents, several of the heroes opt to remain behind in Woodenvale, eternally vigilant.

And their vigilance is well-rewarded. In over a hundred years the Dark stirs in Woodenvale once again. It is the descendants of the Andersons, one of who has now become the sheriff the town needs, who meet its agents head on. Cartwright himself returns, purified at last by the spirit of Uncas's medicine man, and joins in the fight. But that is another story.

Final reward (all heroes):

You may stay in Woodenvale and make it your home. At the end of each adventure you may choose to return to Woodenvale rather than a random Frontier Town. If you return to Woodenvale you may only stay a maximum of 3 days between adventures, but you are +1 on your roll for all Location Events and you do not need to roll for Town Events.
