Oddly, for the last two reviews I wrote, I received 3.1333 and 2.8 geek gold respectively. Is that normal?

Yes, it is normal. In the community-driven judgement system (GeekMod), users get to choose how many GeekGold they think you deserve for your review (or session report), either 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. Then those numbers get averaged out and you get that amount of GG (if your review is approved)

Thanks! Is there a place I can learn more about this GeekMod thing? I check the Wiki but its brief and not very clear on one point. Who is reviewing these for approval if not the admins? Are there a select group of BGGers that have access to particular screens or can anyone take part?
