Ms. SpyNovel and I are doing the Strange & Norrell book next, but what should be after that?

1. Count Zero by William Gibson
The sequel to Neuromancer, and the middle novel of the Sprawl Trilogy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Count_Zero

2. The Diamond Age or, A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer by Neal Stephenson
It won the Hugo Award for Best Novel in 1996 and was shortlisted for the Nebula Award.

3. Perdido Street Station by China Miéville
It was nominated for the 2002 Nebula Award for Best Novel and won the Arthur C. Clarke Award in 2001.

4. Altered Carbon by Richard Morgan
Hardboiled science fiction murder mystery.... well yeah, but so much more than that
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altered_Carbon

5. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness
this would HAVE to be co-modded by arkibet
(can't link to the wikipedia entry as bgg seems not to like colons in the links)

thoughts? indifference?

I Guess you will want to kill me, but can I sugest a Dan Brown game?
I'm talking specifically about Angels&Demons.
It would give a interesting WW Game about the Vatican, Terrorism, Secret Societies, etc... A lot of FUD in the way hehee

Count Zero would be awesome and a good follow-up to Neuromancer.

I think I am already too known as a Stephenson fan-boy.

The other 3 I don't know, so running those would get me to read them.

Hmmm, this wasn't very helpful really, sorry...

I'd let the ideas for the game come first and dictate which game needs to 'cook' a little while longer and which one is ready.

OMG Altered Carbon!

That is all.

Disgaea sounds entertaining too, but I don't know the whole plotline for that.

I am a bad person; I haven't been working on reading my William Gibson and Neal Stephenson books *despite* buying them for motivation. shake

(Sorry, that probably wasn't very helpful either...)

HEH! I'll have to go play the game again for inspiration. I loved the Secret Diary in the toilet.

i am currently playing Disgaea 2. It is great, and improves upon the mechanics and graphics of the first, but it doesn't have the irreverent charm that the first so masterfully displayed. Etna's in it though. she's great.

Should I run it the same way as Neuromancer with unknown roles and powers? That is the format we will use for Strange & Norrell, should I do something different w/ Count Zero?

Not to be unhelpful, but you should do it your way, how you see the book as a WW game. If that is hidden roles like Neuromancer or something else, that is fine with me.

Hidden roles plays nicely with the paranoia of the sprawl though.
