Now I know that most people couldn't care less, but I really wonder what that Chinese statue is doing in an Indian temple. Strange mix of cultures - for what reason?

Must be a Buddhist temple I guess. There are a few of those (vey few actually) still in India Today. Not unusual to find a few monks from the far east there.

My girlfriend knows those cultures well and is confused by the Chinese coin with arabic writing. To her knowing eye, it's all very strange. I guess the artist didn't know or care.
