Hi,

I got a question concerning the text on the second Scenario instruction card of the first Adventure in the Base Set.

The name in french is "La pilule empoisonnée". It's the story with Podiker as a Boss, an Alchimist who is poisonning people.

Tha card says "Add 2 to test to acquire an ally" (english approximative translation of the writen french text)

Did that mean: add 2 to the DIFICULTY of the test or add 2 to the RESULT of the test?

Should the recruting of ally be more easy or more difficult during this scenario?

What's is writen on the original english card?

Thank's for your help.

The English card says "Add 2 to you checks to acquire allies."

I read this as any time I roll to get an ally, I should add 2 to that roll.
Getting allies should be easier during this scenario.

Sean is correct. The allies are essentially easier to acquire by 2, because whatever you roll you add 2 to the result.

The English text always uses the word "difficulty" when making the check harder. As in, "Add 2 to the difficulty of the check..."

Thanks for the answers.

We played it "as more difficult". But we still have won at the end
