Some time ago, I saw a thread that mentioned an awesome looking device used for clipping wargame counters. It made a slightly rounded edge and was, of course, perfect for small counters and chits used in wargaming.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about, some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Here's the link.

The company is Oregon Laminating. The "heavy duty" or ""Deluxe" version is truly amazing. I personally use the 2.5 mm and it's great, even for 1/2 inch counters.

Yea, I have one of these, but how do you get a uniform corner on all of the counters? When I tried, I got some corners that were more trimmed than others. This was a little annoying with counters that were supposed to be hidden when upside down.

Amazon link if you want free shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Radius-Deluxe-Corner-Rounder-Cutter/dp....

(I'm assuming direct from the manufacturer isn't free shipping.)

It shows how many wargamers use them when the suggested items to buy with it include a pair of tweezers.

And to read more (much much more ) about these gadgets, the long thread about them (with lots of photos etc) is:
Implementing the Perfect Solution... to counter clipping

(It prompted me to order one just yesterday...)

I recently got an Oregon Laminating clipper. Aside from being heavy duty and producing perfectly rounded corners, they also enable you to clip quickly. When you have a lot of counters to clip, you'll be happy for one of these bad boys.

After owning both the regular and deluxe model, I highly recommend the deluxe, especially if you're thinking of clipping small counters (think 1/2"). It's very easy mis-clip a small counter with the regular clipper due to the guides.

With the deluxe I can do it drunk and blindfolded and get them perfect every time... well, as perfect as the counter will let me. Some die-cuts are atrocious (hello Thunderbolt Apache Leader) and have angles that should only exist in a Lovecraftian horror short story.

Some people go with the 12 amp, but that's overkill.
