So, I just happened to stumble on what is perhaps the single greatest gaming secret in all of history.

Tonight, after work, I swung by Macy's and picked up a pair of earring's for my lovely wife. A 'for no particular reason' surprise.

After she (deservedly) oohed and aahed at herself in the mirror and planted a nice none-of-your-business kiss on me, she looked up, all dreamy-eyed and said...

"Wanna play Memoir '44 tonight?"

Oh man.

Now, can anyone out there solve this problem for "X"?

if earrings = Memoir '44
then X = Caylus

I could give you the answer, but I'm Canadian. It would be in Metric.
I do wish you good luck.
Maybe you could resolve the unknown by using a third equation like an algebraic matrix problem. Perhaps confirm that Flowers = LOST CITIES or getting caught with a skank = FLUXX and go from there.

Huh.

My wife's Canadian actually, so a Metric answer might be right.

Wait. Scratch that. I've never been good at Metric conversions.

So if Caylus = 29 cm. of Long Stemmed Roses
and I convert that into 24 in. of Dewalt Roto Hammer
I may end up playing Password all night...

well if some tiny earrings got her to play memoir '44 then by my calculations you are going to need a stone the size of a cow's brain. My suggestion... start saving now

Now for the question we're all pondering.

If X = Caylus
what would Y = Sex be and is X > Y?

Don't go there its a mind trick..I can prove it!!

Basic assumptions

1 Women playing games = Time x Money
..this is proven by the earing expenditure, the size of the time and money will be directly proportional to the complexity of the game.

So.... WG= TxM

2 Business states that Time = Money, so substituting into our basic assumption gives.....

....... WG= MxM or W=(M)sqaured

3 Religion tells us that money is the route of all evil, so...

....... M= root(evil)

again sustituting gives us the revelation...

....... WG= [root(evil)]squared

OR

....... WG = evil

DON'T GAME WITH WOMEN THEY'RE EVIL!!!!!

Best Game Secret EVER??? Hmmmm.

Personally I've always found the Best Gaming/Happy Wife/Marital Relations Secret EVER is...

doing the housework...

...

(wait for it...)

Without Being ASKED!!

It works every time round here

AND it doesn't set up $$$ expectations, and you know what that means...

More $$$ for GAMES!!

Good luck with your future spousal gaming

(Oh BTW, Nice one on being spontaneous with the earrings tho )

As a wife, I can personally testify that if MY husband wanted to put me in a good mood for some reason (games being something I usually ask HIM for, and the other we haven't been married long enough to be bored with, apparently ), this would ABSOLUTELY do the trick!

A man was walking along a California beach and was in deep prayer to the Lord.

Man: Lord, you have promised to give me the desires of my heart. Please give a confirmation that you will grant my wish."

Suddenly the sky darkened and the Lord, in a booming voice said,

God: I have searched your heart and determined it to be pure. I think that I can trust that you will not disappoint me. Because you have been faithful to me, I will grant you one wish.

Man: I've always wanted to go to Hawaii, but I'm deathly afraid of flying and I get very sea sick in boats. Could you build a bridge to Hawaii, so I can drive there whenever I want?

The Lord laughed and said

God: That's impossible! Think of the logistics! How would the supports ever reach the bottom of the Pacific? Think of the concrete and steel! Your request is very materialistic and disappointing. I could do it but it's hard for me to justify. Take a little more time and make another wish, one you think would honor and glorify Me.

After much thought, the man said

Man: My wife always says that I am insensitive to her needs. So I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel and what they're thinking. I want to know why they cry and how to make them truly happy. And above all, I want to know how to persuade my wife to join me in a game of Caylus from time to time. That's my wish, Lord.

Then, after a few minutes, God said,

God: You want two lanes or four on that bridge?
