Wondering how small the footprint is for solo or 2 player?

Thanks!

Initial setup is 8 cards across (trade deck, trade row, explorer deck, scrap pile). You'll also potentially have multiple bases out at one time and you'll need a place for your personal decks and discard piles. Definitely super cramped on a plane but with a little creativity might just be possible.

However if there's any snakes on the plane forget about it.

The main deck will need to be secured somehow against jostling, perhaps by leaving it in the deck box and just drawing cards as they are needed. The discard/scrap pile could simply be weighted underneath the deck box.

Someone will likely have to keep the Explorer deck in a shirt pocket or something.

Other than that, you should be okay.

We played a 4-player game of this on a plane once, we got the entire 4-seat middle aisle to ourselves (the plane was relatively empty). A little cramped, but actually not too bad. Just be careful not to drop any cards. Also rage quitting the game gets really awkward in such close quarters.

I'd probably try and put the draw deck in a box/dish of some sort to keep it from potentially sloshing about.

Only if you want to play against strangers (or people on the ground). You can still play campaign or 2 player pass-the-device fine with no internet.
