Since cards played in forest remain invisible - how do you compare scalps there?
Do you choose the strongest card from each side or maybe you should cmopare each play the same order they were played?

Same with Plains and Forest - you compare the first indians played by both players, and the strongest gets the scalp of the weakest, if any. Then you compare the second indians played by both players, and the strongest gets the scalp if any. Then the same for the third indian.
Since in forest this can be done only after the last indians have been played, better do it in the same way in plains as well.

Thx a lot Bruno!

It's a pity that is no such information in the rules...

To make thing even more complicated:
What about forests with puma.

Does the highest indian still receive skalps despite he will be removed?
And if not, with whom does the indian of the opposite direction compare?

This is clear from the rules - scalps are awarded before the battle resolution. this mean an indian receive the scalp of the opposing indian even if one of the indians will be removed due to some effect during the hunting territory battle resolution.

I think all these points are clear if you strictly follow the resolution order as stated in the rules :

1) Play cards

2) Reveal cards (cards played in plain, all cards in forest if the total number of cards have been reached)

3) award scalps for cards revealed

4) Battle resolution
