Hello all! I am new to BGFW, just got started a month ago with the Orc, High Elf, and Second Punic War starters. I have only played on game so far. I have more factions and reinforcement decks on the way. I created a High Elf 2000 point list, and want some advice on it. Here goes:

2 High Elf Archers
2 High Elf Battle Squads
1 High Elf Bowriders
1 Celestial Guard
1 High Elf Knights

The plan is to use the Guard and Battle Squads to tank the enemy line with archer fire to weaken the enemy prior to contact. The Bowriders are there to annoy the enemy and get in their backfield, and the Knights form my primary punch/flankers. I would like to try and roll up an enemy flank and go from there. Thoughts?

Matt

Some quick thoughts.

Your line seems to be short.

Take into account that an enemy line with more units than you will outflank you eventually, so you have to place your units carefully and a bit spaced between them.

Good games!

Hmmm, how about this? It is built only using the starter box that I own.

2 High Elf Battle Squads
1 High Elf Spearmen
2 High Elf Swordsmen
1 High Elf Battlemages
1 High Elf Knights
3 Command Cards
1998 total.

I like it a lot.

Battle squads can be quite resilient and if the battle mages soften up a unit, the Knights may sweep it over.
