For those that have now played the game? How is it?

i was really interested in wallenstein, but had held off buying an import since shogun was 'coming'. It's been a long a wait for me, and i'm really curious to know how people are liking it(or not).

thanks for any feedback...

To add to the above...

Is there anything new in this version or is it Wally with a new map?

Or more appropriately, Wally with TWO new maps?

Queen has the rules available for download so that's easy enough to determine. You now bid for turn order and special abilities.

Great game. But expect to become headaches as you try to anticipate the future moves of your opponents while trying not to tax your people too much and and keep them well fed through the winter.

The game ist very dynamic. In hard winters it is possible that the hungry farmers change a great number of provinces back to neutral. I especially like this mechanic.

I played Shogun for the first time this week-end and enjoyed it a lot.
Never played Wallenstein, so I can't comment on differences or similarities between both.
Things I liked :
* the dice tower mechanism : you never know what will happen, but every army you throw in has to come out eventually, although maybe not at the exact times you wish laugh
* the neutral countries and the idea of the revolting farmers
* fact that you can plan you're first 5 actions and that the other 5 are surprises
* the quality of all the game pieces
* and of course, the dice tower itself cool

Played it twice now and looking forward to playing it again !

I went to Spiel in Essen to buy Wallentein but they ask 65 euro for a secondhand. I thought of 65 euro you can but much better and more. So i played Shogun in Essen and i liked it from the start, good artwork, a lot of interaction and choices. I bought it after the play and friday I gonna play it with 5 persons. I can't wait. I also made some rules for two players but i havn't tested yet. I can recommand it to everyone!
